Wireable Connection Heads - Technology Overview

The Euroswitch Wireable Connection Head is unique in the hazardous area market and offers the benefits of a micro junction box integrated directly within the sensor. This patented technology is available on the majority of our instrumentation in one of three designs, namely W, WL or WLR. All designs are certified to the latest global protection standards.

W Series

• Back entry

• 360° fully rotatable head enables conduit entry to be positioned to
  suit your application.
• Integrated PCB mounted 2.5mm terminals

Junction Box - Alleviates the requirement for an additional junction box due to termination being carried out direct at the switch.

Customer Cable Types - Allows for customer specific cable to be used up to 2.5mm2.

Reduced installation time - In most cases the termination will be carried out on installation by the end user, allowing for the installer to save time on connecting glands and terminating cable.

Material - High grade 316 Stainless Steel design for offshore corrosion resistance.

Entry Options - Back entry and side entry options available, reducing the requirement for additional components such as 90° elbows.

Entry Orientation - Our patented 'WLR' (side entry) option allows the user to orientate the entry point to their preferred location. Particularly beneficial when installing switches in applications such as cylinders or thread details that do not allow the entry to finish in the same orientation every time.

Terminals - All wireable switches are supplied as standard with WAGO 2.5mm2 PCB mounted cage clamp terminals. These terminals are selected due to their high resistance to vibration.

Multi Approval Options - Wireable switches are available with multiple approvals such as ATEX, IECEx, UL, CSA, TRCU, INMETRO and KOSHA under a single part number.

We also offer the ability to integrate our wireable connection head onto a wide range of customer’s sensors including pressure sensors, clogging indicators, thermocouples etc. so that they can also benefit from our unique technology.
